Energy Service Company (ESCo Contracts)

Typically we look to develop Energy Service Company (ESCo) model agreements with property developers who are contemplating building a biomass burning Energy Centre to meet the requirements of the Code for Sustainable Homes and Local Planning Authorities.

Fuel Chip Ltd. has skills and experience in Building Services / Facilities Management and the production of biomass fuel chip, enabling us to deliver technically and financially feasible schemes.

Our skills enable property developers to achieve their carbon reduction and financial targets effectively, without having to take on the monetary and management legacy associated with the long term provision of a heat utility.

Fuel Chip Ltd. are capable of operating and maintaining a community or district energy scheme (with a biomass energy centre;) delivering the heat for an agreed duration and price; including all billing and customer care services.

Fuel Chip Ltd. is financially supported by Craigmore Sustainables, an independent investment management firm whose focus is on a sustainable, environmental contribution to the physical environment.  This translates into interests in New Zealands' farming and forestry sectors, with NZ$60m capital under management.  As such, they have the ability and financial resources to fund and make direct investment in potential renewable energy projects.
